Lars Bos – alias rapper Snelle – is a hard worker who’s determined to prove that a Dutch village boy (with a cleft lip) also has a (musical) story to tell that can inspire The Netherlands. ‘’The fact that I put almost everything in perspective, I believe I possess an interesting opinion on pretty much anything, which I can incorporate in my songs in an authentic (and sometimes far-reaching) way. I really enjoy playing with words and playing with the way in which I say things. He keeps it real. My place and perspective within hip hop are unusual, but this is what makes it interesting.’’ His ‘Vier’ EP and ‘Bijrijder’ EP from 2016, he reached more than 1.3 million streams and plays on platforms such as YouTube and Spotify, which were also stimulated by the support of relevant hip hop organisations such as Puna, FunX and 101barz. Snelle’s sound is characterised by instruments such as the piano, guitar and saxophone. This, combined with modern trap beats/drums and an authentic choice of words and message, ensures a fresh and somewhat wavey sound that could be heard at Woohah, NewSkoolfest, the 10-year anniversary of Puna, Definitie van Hiphop, Keizerrijk and many other shows throughout The Netherlands. His local group of friends remain important for Snelle. He is surrounded by people who have grown up in a similar way and all have an affinity with the creative process. Snelle´s music and videos present a culture of ‘young independent boys having fun’, where it’s important that everyone follows their heart, growing together through music. His music takes you to modern student life and all its temptations.
Snelle can now be booked with live band!
